Deep into the evening hours of Sunday, March 21st 2010, the US House of Representatives led by Nancy Pelosi passed the Senate version of the Obama Mandatory Health Insurance bill. The overwhelming majority of the people of the United States are outraged at the idea that our Federal Government believes that they can force us to pay out one third of our incomes to some HMO billionaire or face fines and penalties up to and including five years in prison.

It is absolutely necessary that we, the citizens of North Carolina stand up to this subversion and abrogation of the Constitutional order and restore a right government in our State.

The answer is found in a concept known as Tenth Amendment Nullification.

The first threat of nullification was made early in our nations history by one Thomas Jefferson, who was outraged and ready to take up arms over the abomination known as the Alien and Sedition Act. Having prompted Kentucky and Virginia to fully and vigorous pursue nullification, Thomas Jefferson was quickly vaulted to the Presidency where he was able to have the acts repealed before nullification was enacted.

The first successful use of nullification, was in response to the Fugitive Slave Act prior to the US Civil War. The Democrat controlled US Congress at the time passed a law which stated that any state -- including free states -- who discovered a runaway slave were required by Federal law to return the runaway slave to their masters or face Federal Prison. the Northern States, and especially Wisconsin, refused, enacted nullification, and because of their courage we still celebrate the Underground Railroad for delivering escaped slaves to freedom to this very day.

Throughout American history, Nullification has always been used to protect, and not to restrict our citizen's civil liberties. The time has come again, we must stand up and have the courage to protect the citizens of North Carolina from facing a choice between starving themselves and their children in order to pay out their hard earned money to some billionaire HMO executive, or going to Federal Prison for five years where they will not be able to take cae of their families at all, and are likely to be subject to all kinds of horrifying abuse.

State Representative Skip Stam and State Senator Phil Berger have pledged to introduce the North Carolina Health Care Protection Act the very moment that our Democrat-controlled State Assembly allows them to. They are currently being blocked from every approach in their efforts to protect the people of North Carolina.

My opponent, Lucy T. Allen, is a major proponent of the Obama-Pelosi Mandatory Health Insurance Act, and not only will she not support nullification, but she is actively helping to prevent such a nullification act from being introduced into the NC State House.

I, Glen Bradley will exert every effort to insure that the North Carolina Health Care Protection Act is both introduced and passed. I will stand between you and the Federal Health Police coming to throw you in prison and tell them, "NO, not in OUR State you don't!"

I will stand up for you, and I will stand up for a properly limited Constitutional government. It's time for the people of North carolina to take our government back, and you can start by voting for Glen Bradley in Novermber of 2010.
