Fundraising
One of the biggest, if not the biggest obstacle this campaign will have to overcome, is raising the funds to be competitive.
According to my research, the average successful NC State House campaign costs around $100,000. Between the cost of materials, events, advertising etc, I can certainly see how these costs can add up quickly.
My opponent, Lucy T. Allen, has some big-ticket backers, such as the North Carolina League of Municipalities. Groups such as the NCLOM and other special interest concerns can easily and quickly provide all the capital she needs to wage political war.
I, on the other hand, am an ordinary citizen of North Carolina, a man with a passion for the Constitution and a mission to work to restore the Constitutional Order, and therefore those special interests (who want nothing to do with a Constitutional government) will not touch me with a 10 foot pole -- even if I were to want their backing, which I do not.
So my only source of campaign finance will be individual ordinary citizens. You folks now reading this post.
Therefore, I need as much help as I can possibly get. If 1,000 people donated $100 each, the campaign would be fully funded. The program I am currently working on, I am calling "10,000 Tens for Glen in 2010" knowing that there must be at least 10,000 Constitutionalists, Conservatives, Tea Party Patriots, and Libertarians in NC who can each chip in $10 to help me run against the well-funded Lucy T Allen.
So I really need your help. Not only your donations, but also to spread the word to everyone you know that there is a Constitutionalist patriot here who will go into the NC House and work to restore the proper order of government.
Please, do what you can. There is a big red "Donate Now" button at the top right of this site, and there are instructions for mailing donations there as well. We can win this fight, and we can accomplish our goals, but we need your help to do it.
We can't do it without your help.
This is posted in the forums, so discussion is welcome. I am a Constitutionalist, and not so much a politician, so your ideas on how to help raise the enormous funds needed to run a successful campaign are quite encouraged. Thanks!
Glen Bradley
